Coming up on the show, Jimmy Carr and online safety,

the heckling of Kieer Starma, the smearing of Joe Rogan and Justin Trudeau

versus the Truckers.

So a joke by Jimmy Carr has gone viral. It went completely mad over the weekend,

it's fair to say, and the response has been a lot more than the usual

Twitter storm. Culture Secretary Nadine Dorese has got involved and essentially

warned that her online safety bill, this government's new legislation for regulating the internet

would have done something about this joke.

The joke was about the Holocaust and the genocide of Roma people.

Obviously explaining that out loud kills the joke immediately,

but Tom what have you made of this scandal? I have found the response quite baffling because

Jimmy Carr being kind of purposely offensive is nothing new. It just feels like this response to it.

Whilst there's always been a fair bit of pearl clutching whenever you've had a comedian kind of try and

cross the line make these kinds of sick jokes or whatever.

It just feels like it's on another level

than previously.

I mean, I thought it was pretty well established

that if you're talking about language

or like anything creative,
