Hello and welcome to The Rest is Money. It's just me today, Steph McGovern, but with a brilliant guest, Sir Michael Marmot. Now, he is Professor of Epidemiology at UCL and director of the UCL Institute of Health Equity.

But fundamentally, he is someone who has helped shape policy discussions and decisions for at least the last two decades now.

He did the famous 2010 Marmot Review.

Ten years later, went back to see how things had changed. And this is all about

highlighting health inequality, what causes it, you know, why are there big differences of life

expectancy depending on where you live? And with a decade of austerity, what impact does that

have on health disparities in the UK?
