I've got a question for you.

What do you think is the biggest mistake that home gardeners make when it comes to composting?

It's kind of a trick question.

And maybe it's a little biased on my part.

But based on the feedback that I get and the questions that I get, I think the biggest mistake

is that we overcomplicate it. I think that's a pretty easy mistake to make because if you ever

start to research composting, it does seem quite foreign and you're trying to figure out a

formula and how to do it perfectly. If you've

listened to recent podcast episodes here, you may have heard me talk about composting quite a bit,

not specifically in context of one episode like we're talking about today, but I've just

talked about it here and there about how important it is. And maybe that's the reason why I've

gotten a lot of questions on

the topic recently. As I continue to talk to people about composting individually via email or

by Instagram, I decided that this was a topic we needed to revisit. We have done other podcast

episodes in the past. I'll be referring to those in this episode and also in the links in the show notes.

But I really wanted to revisit this, especially the more and more that I am in my garden

and I'm seeing how beneficial and important composting is to our garden.
