0:38.1	do a double take. Through the British Airways shopping portal, you could earn 250 obvious per
0:44.2	dollar spent specifically at this one store online, Kate Spade. 250 points or obvious per dollar.
0:51.7	That kind of multiplier that almost feels like it has to be a typo. I'm going to be
0:57.2	honest, I did not jump on that deal. But when I saw it, it immediately reminded me of another
1:02.8	opportunity from a few years ago that looked just as unbelievable at the time. That one involved
1:08.6	the Simply Miles program, a charitable donation offer, and an
1:12.8	earning rate that worked out to about 240 American Airlines miles per dollar spent. And I decided
1:19.2	to take that risk. In the end, that deal netted me more than 1.1 million American Airlines
1:25.4	miles for a total all-in cost of about $5,000.
1:29.1	Now, deals like this are incredibly rare, but when they do show up, they create a fascinating
1:35.0	dilemma for anybody who plays the points in miles game. Because these opportunities are
1:40.0	as enticing as they are uncertain, there's so many questions around them. Is the deal real?
