You know, there are a lot of things I love about doing this part.

I'm a fucking best-selling author, man.

Not that anybody gives a shit about that.

But the two things that I love the most about doing this podcast are, and I know this sounds like I'm blowing smoke up your ass, but honestly, it's you.

It's the fact that you want to hang out with me, and that makes me want to hang out with you.

And there's some really beautiful connections that happen through this podcast.

And one of the things that I'm looking forward to exploring in the future, once things settle down a little bit, famous last words, right?

But once things settle down a little bit, one of the things I want to explore is finding ways to help you people get together with one another.

Because we've got a lot in common.

Anybody who's listening to this podcast shares a lot with the rest of the audience.

You share a certain interest.

You share a style. You share maybe an impatience with bullshit and commercialism.

You're looking, you share curiosity that you're looking for other ways to think, other ways to live.

You're open-minded. You're tolerant.

You're just as comfortable listening to me in a conversation with transgender people and sex workers as you are with comedians or kids or, you know, people in their 80s looking back at life.

You're open-minded and curious and intelligent.

And if you weren't, you wouldn't be listening to this.

You wouldn't be turned on by these conversations.

They wouldn't work for you. It wouldn't resonate.

So the fact that it does resonate tells me you're my kind of people, obviously, which is why when I meet people who know me through the podcast, it's always a wonderful experience.

It's weird. Yes, it is weird because they're, you know, sitting across the table in the cafe saying, dude, it's so weird hearing your voice and seeing your face at the same time because I've spent so many hours listening to you.
