I was at Tully's Shocktoberfest, Europe's largest collection of Halloween haunts.

I walked through a whole bunch of, I don't know how much you know about haunts.

I found out about them from an excellent documentary on Amazon called Haunters, the Art of the Scare.

But yeah, so you go to this park and then you enter haunted houses, and those houses are absolutely rammed full of actors who jump out at you from crevices, darkness, smoke machines. It was a blast.

It was the most fun I've had in Yonks. Well, so hold on, like the houses aren't, you know,

they're not really haunted. No, they're all made it out of like, you know, plywood and, you know,

filled with cheap sort of... So they're not even houses?

Well, no, it's more like a haunted sort of labyrinth that's been constructed by some workers two weeks prior to the festival beginning.

In a park.

Yeah, but they all have things.

That's nuts.

I did one that was like called the Chop Shop and it was like a garage full of angry mechanics with chainsaws. That was very good. I went into one

called Coven, which had lots of witches, and it was kind of like Hemwick Charnel Lane from Bloodbourne,

if you've played that video game. I did one that was like a classic Victoriana house with lots

of people who were pretending to be possessed, and they jumped out at my wife, and she screamed so
