But let's get started with those headlines and clips and then we'll get to my conversation with Bill. Well, who knows what to believe about the war in Iran, but many news outlets, including New York Times, reporting that the U.S.

in Iran have drafted a ceasefire extension. The Trump regime closing in on a framework deal to

reopen the Strait of Hormuz and extend its nominal ceasefire with Iran, even as both countries

traded strikes and Israel escalated its bombing campaign in Lebanon. General Fatten has not yet

signed off on this potential

deal. He says apparently he wants a couple days to think about it. There's some sticking points like

Iran's nuclear program and frozen assets to future negotiations. Yeah, those sound pretty sticky.

Also, it was not immediately clear whether the U.S. and Iran had the same understanding of the framework, though both

sides did acknowledge that negotiators had agreed to a draft. So negotiators have agreed to a draft,

but yet U.S. and Iranian military is still fighting as recently as yesterday morning. The U.S.

strike. And the rest of the Middle East, Israel attacked Beirut for the first time in almost a month

and pushed deeper into southern Lebanon. Netanyahu said he directed the Israeli military to expand its control of

Gaza to 70% of the enclave from its current 60% in an effort to pressure Hamas.

And our dear leader said that more countries should be required to recognize Israel as part of the

deal to the end of the war. But anybody that thinks that's going to happen, well, I've got a podcast to sell you.
