Describe the current crisis in housing and how is it worse than it ever was?

Well, I've been doing this about 30 years starting in the South Bronx. I grew up here in New York City and I would say the crisis has

been getting worse over those decades but during the COVID crisis we actually saw rents increasing more than we ever have since

we started keeping records. Literally never seen bigger increases, 18% increase

in rent year over year.
