And now here's your host, Andy Panko.

0:35.9

Hello, everybody. Welcome back.

0:37.7

Welcome back to our regularly scheduled Thursday morning, 1am Eastern release of this show.

0:43.5

As you know, for those who follow, just a few days ago, I did a one-off special edition release where I summarized my take on the key provisions of the one big beautiful bill act. Yes, that's its real name.

0:57.3

Again, still struggle to believe that, but such is life, where the main provisions most likely

1:02.3

impact many of you listening. So I focused on the regular sort of personal income tax aspects

1:08.4

of it likely to impact you all, did not get into

1:10.9

like the business aspects, some of the other government funding aspects and other things.

1:14.5

But for those who didn't yet hear that episode, go back and check it out as episode 159, the

1:19.3

one I did just before this, which is interesting because before I did that episode, I actually

1:25.0

had already recorded and finalized this episode you're listening to now, which would have been episode 159, where Lauren and I recorded last week, you know, first few days of July. And as of then, the one big beautiful bill act was not yet signed into law. So one of the topics we talked about, as you'll hear in our discussion soon,

1:44.9

is our thoughts about that and what may come of it. Now, we didn't know again, because the law

1:49.5

wasn't finalized. Well, now it since is. And so what I did was I felt the need to summarize

1:54.4

the key takeaways from the one big beautiful, one big beautiful bill act. But that now means

1:59.9

what Lauren and I talked about uh in our

2:02.0

recording is outdated so um you know listen to that part with a grain of salt or or whatever you

2:08.4

know as as you listen to this episode because i already uh put out the new episode that has since

2:14.5

discussed the actual final provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill.

2:18.8

But so the other parts that Lauren and I talk about, I'm sure you'll find some value.

2:23.9

And specifically, we share our thoughts about the recent Social Security Trustees report and what it means that now the trust fund is expected to deplete one year faster than it was as of last year's report.
