I had been extremely fussy and extremely agitated all day today.

So if I just tee off on you, Painter, it's not you.

I hear you. I'm just giving you heads up. I want to talk about Joey Gatewood today.

I want to talk about Joey Gatewood today. You know, there's been a lot of talk about Bo Nix.

And, you know, I think I've made it very clear. And I believe you have to. I think Bo Nix is Auburn's starter next year.

But there has been increased conversation about, you know, okay, and it will be a competition.

It will be an open competition between four guys and I think it's really three.

I don't think Cord Sandberg is there to be a starting quarterback.

I think he's there for depth purposes and for facilitating practices.

But I'm just shocked that the Malik Willis hype, I mean, compared to where it was two years ago,

I mean, there were people saying that Malik Willis should start over Jared Stidham two years ago.

You remember this?

And at the time that blew my mind, and now it's like, okay, the Malik Willis hype is where

it should be.

Athletic dude, I think a guy that in a proper system could kind of change a game with

his feet.

But you look at it and it's like, I don't know if his upside is as high as Joey

Gatewood's upside.

Now his floor may be a little higher but I think if you're Auburn you've got to go with the highest ceiling here especially since all these guys are unproven.

I think Bo Nix has a tremendously high floor and a tremendously high ceiling as well.
