Good morning, Fred's. It is a wonderful morning. I was out for a walk this morning with my dog.

Actually, my daughter's dog, but he, you know, he hangs out with me when I'm on a walk and he was

just having such a great time he's an Australian Shepherd he just at one point

started running just in big circles right around me and I couldn't help

the laugh you know the cool air in the morning just realized how much joy is

available in life that God creates for the just and the unjust and we as believers in Christ

should of all people be so enthused about the joy that God gives us and enjoy it because it's actually in the enjoyment

that we bring greater glory to God.

Have you ever considered that?

That's a lesson I learned both from John Piper, but then from the people that he referenced,

C.S. Lewis and Jonathan Edwards.

And one of the examples that I've thought of that enables me to understand the concept a little bit better is this.

When you go to a party where one of your friends is hosting and they have created this elaborate dinner or dessert for you to enjoy.

You definitely bring glory to the chef, the one who created the dish that you're enjoying by eating it.

I mean the fact that you don't leave it sitting on your plate indicates that you

enjoy it. But you bring greater honor, greater glory to that person

by expressing your delight in that enjoyment

and how you say to them,

this is so incredible, how did you do this,

it's so smooth and rich and tasty

and whatever other adjectives

you would add to that description.
