Because she had accused him of making an obscene phone call to her.

One morning, my mom had woken up or they were sitting there watching Good Morning America

or something, and they got a phone call from my brother's house saying, my sister-in-law

had just received an obscene phone call and she thinks that it was from dad.

And my mom was like, well, we're sitting here in bed together.

We've been here all morning and the phone's right between us.

I knew that my dad didn't do that.

Everybody knows my dad didn't do that.

to her.

When Nicolette's high school friend met her brother, they soon became inseparable.

They married net a child during her senior year of high school, but in the next few years,

the couple turned volatile towards their family members.

A few years later, Nicolette was cut out of her brother and sister-in-law's lives.

Her and others in the family started getting anonymous, threatening letters and phone calls.

As things escalated, Nicolette went to the police and even hired a private investigator.

Only to find out it had been a family member of the whole time.
