I'm a dog walker for a small but busy company. I have one client in a somewhat upscale neighborhood whom I go to twice a week

in the mornings. Like most people who use dog walkers, they use a lockbox. They decided to keep theirs

behind a vase next to their apartment door. It was already a busy Monday for me and I was in a bit of a rush.

I was hoping to get their

Bernadoodle puppy Mia by 9.45 a.m. so I could stay on track for the day. After finding parking,

which is usually hell in their neighborhood, I made my way up to their apartment door. I

wrapped my hand around the vase, intending to grab the lockbox as usual, but there was nothing there.

I wasn't alarmed at first, since sometimes owners forget to put their lockboxes out.

It's not super common, but it happens.

I looked around a bit more, but I still had no luck.
