and we all chipped in to rent a condo in Ontario for the trip.

His dad had a big extended family over there that he never saw,

because he only truly got along with one of his sisters. My boyfriend's mom had talked him

into going out there for a visit, though, and they let me tag along, because I had been around

long enough and they liked me and trusted me. I can't remember where everyone else had gone.

I think it was to the beach for what was probably the third time that day.

So it was just my boyfriend and me at the condo,

as we were getting tired of going to the beach

and just wanted to stay in the shade and do nothing for a while.

We were sitting outside, looking over the water, just talking about life.

I had just finished reading the Harry Potter series, and we were talking about that for a bit,

when this woman unexpectedly emerged from the brush that was right beside the condo.

To give you an idea, this condo was situated on approximately one acre of land, and it was

somewhat isolated in the middle of nowhere.

The front side of the condo was about 70 feet from a dirt road that was seldomly used, and

there were some dense trees, brush, and whatnot that surrounded the other three sides of it.
