| 1:29.3 | And the cause was found to be cardiomyopathy due to an enlarged heart, which is a common phenomenon |
| 1:35.6 | among athletes. True was just one example of seasoned endurance athletes in particular who have |
| 1:40.9 | experienced sudden fatal cardiac episodes during exercise. |
| 1:44.8 | Marathoner Ryan Shea and Ironman triathlet Steve Larson are others. |
| 1:48.8 | And more recently, professional Ironman triathlete, Torborn Simbali, was forced into unexpected |
| 1:54.3 | retirement due to premature wearing of a part of his heart called the bicuspid valve. |
