Hey everybody, welcome back to The Incomparable.

I'm your host, Jason Snell.

And when we last left The Incomparable, we had done the first two rounds of our second

movie draft, where we pick

a bunch of movies that we think that you should see and a sort of virtual film festival. So we did

the first two rounds last week, seven people, seven movies each. That was 14. We're going to do

three more rounds at a little bit faster pace than last week. It couldn't really be much slower.

My participants are in the order in which they'll pick. Andy Anatoko, David Lohr, Steve Lutz,

Monty Ashley, John Syracusa, Dan Moran, and then I will pick last as the host. Anyway,

let's pick it up in round three.

Linking back to Pelham 123, which one of the reasons I like was because it's like all

of these character actors.

This is a more recent movie, The Big Year, from 2011, which one of the reasons why I have cable is that it's there's a great, it's great when

they just simply program these movies that maybe you saw the trailer when it was released,

but there was just nothing to motivate you to see it. And then by the time it hit video,

you'd totally forgotten all about it. This really is a

terrific little movie. The basic premise is that if you're a serious bird watcher, maybe one of

the things on your bucket list is to do this thing called a big year, which means you spend

an entire calendar year from January 1st to December 31st, trying to spot as many species of bird in North America

as possible. And there are records for this, and it's really intense thing. So it's about
