From FlyingMag.com, Buy Aerospace continues toward certification of its Part 23 EFlyer 2 electric aircraft, and

CEO George By announced that the company has chosen Aviation Safety Resources Inc. or ASR

to design prototype test and deliver a recovery system specifically for the EFlyer 2.

ASR will use its Soteria line of whole aircraft recovery parachute systems for the EFlyer 2. ASR will use its SOTERIA line of whole aircraft recovery parachute systems for the EFlyer 2.

Larry Williams, ASR president and CEO said ASR's patented technology and enhanced design provides

space-saving opportunities and reduced weight compared to traditional systems. In addition,

Soteria uses high-tech materials that extend repack cycles, reducing overall

operating cost over the life of the aircraft.

And I went out to the ASR website to take a look for myself, and I was surprised to see that

their parachute system actually uses three separate parachutes all joined together,
