0:07.3	common questions I receive through the course of the growing season, and that is, what's wrong with my plant?
0:15.3	Generally, I can trace back to the deeper question and probably the most appropriate question,
0:20.6	and that is, what is wrong with my soil? Because plants can have to be able to the deeper question and probably the most appropriate question, and that is
0:21.1	what is wrong with my soil? Because plants can have different issues, but a lot of times when it
0:27.2	comes to a lack of growth or just they're not thriving, a lot of times it can be traced back to the
0:35.0	soil. As I have heard from multiple people over the course of the
0:40.4	seasons and also as I have observed different raised beds soil mixes in my own garden, I realized
0:48.1	how important the soil quality really is. Now I'm going to focus pretty in-depth on raised bed soil because that's what I
0:57.7	get the most questions about. But the basics about what a good soil consists of will apply to
1:05.7	groundbed soil, container soil, pretty much any kind of soil that you're growing your crops in.
1:12.3	So no matter where this episode finds you, whether you're a solely raised bed gardener or you're
1:18.4	like me and you do a little bit of a mix, or maybe if you're just growing in your ground,
1:21.9	this episode is going to help you understand the importance of soil, how to tell if there's a problem. And toward the end,
1:29.8	I'm going to pose a few theories of why perhaps if you used 100% bagged soil in your raised bed and you
1:39.7	experienced poor results, what might have been going on. And whether or not you use 100% bagged soil or not,
