Summary
I enjoy pop culture AND Christianity. Did you know this can be a thing? Knox McCoy loves laughing and making people laugh. Really anything that’s laughter-adjacent, he’s into. He’s also super into the word “swashbuckling” and his dream is to one day use it in a bio. Knox began podcasting in 2011 as a way to talk more about popular culture, and to his extreme surprise, he’s still doing it every week on The Popcast with Knox and Jamie. As a resident of the South, Knox’s heritage is to enjoy football and barbecue, and he does so with great passion. He also enjoys zombie movies, police procedurals, and a good Netflix binge. Knox lives with his wife and three kids in Birmingham, Alabama where he works as a screenwriter and as the swashbuckling co-founder of The Popcast Media Group. (Dreams really can come true.) What we chat about: learning from uncomfortable conversations how pop culture informs Knox’s faith teaching kids the gospel with care questioning God Links mentioned: The Popcast with Knox & Jamie The Bible Binge The Wondering Years Shoe DogSuccessionKilling Eve Connect with Knox: website | instagram | twitter Connect with Emily: website I instagram I facebook I patreon Episode Sponsors: Daily Harvest: get three free cups in your first box with code SWP Tommy John: use the link for 20% off your first order Perfect Keto: get 20% off your order using link and promo code SWP Support the show: Patreon | Amazon Share the Struggle!
