I already did it. No. Okay. Here we go. But seriously, yes, we, you know, we love one another. We love all of our mom's friends, but even more than that.

Man, we love telling the stories of the Bible. And guess what, Matt? What? We can't wait to share them with you.

Yeah, it is true though. And today, real talk guys, this is a doozy. We've used that term before. We're going to use it again. Matt, if I'm being completely honest, this Bible story is fairly new to me.

Um, I've probably glossed over this multiple times in personal study and maybe prepping for some, some classes and things like that. But dude, when, when we brought this up and you brought this, this story to my attention, I, I was, is the word bamboozled. Maybe I don't know lamb blasted.

I don't even know what that means, but my point is I was shocked. And I can't wait to share this. And so Matt, if you want to take it away, give us the gist. Give us the topic that we're about to talk about tonight.

I'm going to give us absolutely just a little backstory before we get into it because today's story that we're going to talk about is more just like a sentence.

It is, I mean, it really is fascinating. And something is fascinating. Matt, it's true because it's from the Bible. So we believe it. It's true.

For me, I took it almost as like a shock value thing. You know, like sometimes, you know, we were when you're reading something or you're like in a movie and you like, and there's like this statement or there's this thing. And it's almost like a shock factor like a shock value type thing.

That's almost like how I took it. I'm not saying that that's what it was meant to be, but that's how I perceived it. I was like, whoa, that was crazy. So go for it.

It's wild. It's like you know your grandfather. You love your grandfather. You know all the stories. And then one day he's like, oh, and I was a spy during World War II. And then he never talks about it again.

Yes, like that kind of right in like, wow, that's that's incredible. So here's a little backstory. We're going to be focusing on Moses and particularly the end of Moses's life and then beyond the final season, the end.

So Moses's death, we've done an episode on it. It was weird. There are a few sentences that are dropped in the middle of bigger passages that give some special notes concerning how the guy, you know, kick the bucket and then how he was laid to rest.

So if you want to learn more, you can go back to the death of Moses episode. We're not going to get too deep into the weeds regarding the details.

But let's let's hit some highlights. The people of God, they were about to enter into the promised land, right. But Moses wasn't going to be one of them. Why? Because he had acted out in disbelief and he was not permitted by God as a consequence of Moses's actions. God would not permit him to enter into the promised land.

That's just a consequence for the sin that Moses had committed. Okay, so this is where things get interesting. Moses's death seems to not be caused by poor health or even necessarily old age.

Deuteronomy 347 tells us that although Moses was 120 years old when he died, his eyesight was not dim nor had his vigor left him. Yeah. And in those days, Matt, like we know that people lived way beyond that.

So I mean, that seems old, definitely old, especially now, but which is necessarily for that time. And which is another interesting consequence of we talk about Bible stories and often these are things that we've read before, but not really thought about it.

The decreased lifespan is a consequence of sin. Yeah. Sure. Yeah. And this is anyway. So this is what just just a real quick thing. I'm sorry to interrupt.
