Summary

If you have children in your life, whether they’re your own kids or perhaps your siblings/ nieces/ nephews/ students, then hopefully you want to create a body positive environment for them. Zoë Bisbing, MSW, LCSW is here to teach you HOW. You will learn... - what to say if a child asks, “Am I fat?” - how to approach a conversation about “healthy eating” with kids - what if your kid has a real health condition? how should parents approach their child’s food and weight then? - what to say to stop family members from commenting on your child’s weight Remember: building a body positive home starts with your own mindset first. As a parent, it’s important to heal your own beliefs about food, fat, weight, and health. Zoë Bisbing, MSW, LCSW is a licensed psychotherapist, speaker, and content creator. Zoë holds a Master of Social Work from New York University, a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College, and a certification in Family-Based Treatment from the Institute for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders. She is the director of Body-Positive Therapy NYC and Body-Positive Home (formerly The Full Bloom Project), an educational resource offering workshops and body image workouts for the whole family. She loves teaching parents and professionals how to creatively build spaces where children of all ages, sizes, and gender expressions can naturally boost immunity to our appearance-obsessed culture and decrease risk for disordered eating and body image injury. an all-around self-love advocate. And this is the podcast that will inspire you to love yourself.

Hey, self-lovers, before we dive into today's podcast episode, I want to make sure you know about my two books on self-love.

0:26.0

If you're struggling with body image or self-acceptance, then I highly recommend you check out my first book, The Gift of Self-Love.

0:33.2

It's a comprehensive workbook to help you build confidence, recognize your worth, and learn to love who you are.

0:39.1

You can get it wherever books are sold by searching for The Gift of Self-Love or go to my website,

0:44.6

Maryscup of tea.com slash book. Thousands of you have read and dove in into The Gift of Self-Love.

The reviews are just incredible. So many five-star reviews, and I'm so

0:55.8

forever grateful that it has touched your lives in such a big way. After publishing the gift of

1:01.3

self-love and reading all your positive feedback, I noticed that many of you asked me for a tool

1:06.7

that would help you build a daily practice of self-love into your life, which is why I decided to

1:13.2

create a new self-love journal, 100 days of self-love. It's got 100 journaling prompts that cover

1:20.0

all areas of life, body, identity, purpose, relationships, emotions, and more. So you can think of this

1:27.3

as a metaphorical multivitamin for

1:29.7

self-love. You can get the journal wherever books are sold as well by searching for 100 days of

1:35.3

self-love or go to maryscup of tea.com slash journal. These two books, the gift of self-love, the workbook,

1:43.0

and 100 days of self-Love, The Journal,

1:45.7

are complementary to one another, so the content does not overlap.

1:49.2

It just depends on what you want or need at this point in your life.

1:53.3

It's my mission to share all the self-love tools with you, so I hope that both my books

1:58.2

and this podcast can help you do just that.
