Summary
We all have bad habits, right?
Individuals trying to lose weight do not realize that their environment and lifestyle need to be altered in addition to their diet to meet the desired weight-loss goals.
Andrew Hicks is a busy man. When he was in his early 30s, he used to be in great shape. But then when he started a family, he let his fitness routine fall by the wayside. He stopped caring about what he ate and started spiraling into bad habits.
On his 39th birthday, he looked at himself in the mirror one day and didn't even know who he was looking at. The man staring back at him had gained a lot of weight and was completely out of shape. He'd lost his confidence—and not just because he didn't like how he looked anymore. It was because he realized that if he kept up this lifestyle, it would have serious consequences for him down the road, including a higher likelihood of obesity, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes.
A few years before his 39th birthday, his close buddy died of a heart attack. He also lost his mother five years ago when she died of blood cancer. These events pushed him over the edge. He knew that something had to change since he didn't want to leave his children without a father and his wife without a husband.
So Andrew decided to change his life—for good.
He broke the bad habits and started a program with me to learn about nutrition and exercise—and how to develop healthy habits that will help him stay in shape the rest of his life.
He was completely transformed by the one-on-one training, and he lost an incredible 88 pounds!
He felt like a new man today, and not only because he had shed a lot of weight. For him, it's no longer just about his physique; it's also about his total health!
Check out this episode with Andrew Hicks as he shares his incredible weight loss journey and how he overcame his anxiety and broke all his bad habits by controlling his environment.
