| 0:21.0 | If that sounds confusing, it is confusing. |
| 0:23.0 | But let's give some examples and it will actually be quite simple. |
| 0:25.0 | Imagine that you have a website called sidusleschool.com. |
| 0:29.0 | I happen to have one of those websites myself. |
| 0:31.0 | A subdomain that uses that same domain would be something like beta.sidusleschool.com, |
| 0:38.0 | or testing.sidusleschool.com. |
| 0:41.0 | Let's say. |
| 0:42.0 | Now that doesn't actually exist either one of those, but the point is if I wanted to work on something |
| 0:46.0 | or test something out, I might make that subdomain to do so. |
| 0:49.0 | I might just go and create the subdomain. |
| 0:51.0 | It lives on that same domain, but to get to it you have to go to that special address. |
| 0:55.0 | So that's one usage of a subdomain is the only one. |
| 0:58.0 | There's actually a bunch of things you can do with this. |
| 1:00.0 | So the answer is there are several good reasons. |
| 1:02.0 | Our listener is wondering what they might be, especially in terms of any SEO benefit. |
