Welcome, everybody, to this podcast introduction, the first meeting of Lindsay

Trvinsky and David Nakantry, talking about the most over and the most underrated

presidents. It was a spirited conversation. Of course, Jefferson took it in the

shorts, as he always seems to do around here. But that's fine.

You know, David Nakantry doesn't pretend to be a presidential historian,

but he does tell you several times that he is enamored of Mad Dog Russo,

the sports raver, on whose program he's a frequent guest.

And he had a lot of interesting things to say. You know, Lindsay resisted

analysis of the most recent presidents, which I think is good historical practice.

David was willing to make the case that Biden will be remembered as a

good, maybe a great president. I think it's too early

for all of that, but we we ranged widely. And we talked about a whole number

of presidency. So we gave quite a bit of time to Woodrow Wilson. He was not

well regarded here. John Adams, of course, got some high praise from Lindsay.

Bush 41, we were out of time, but some high praise there too.

David Nakantry made the case for James Polk, said what he's going to do, did it,

and then retired after a single term. There was a considerable debate about JFK.

I'm on both sides of that question. David Nakantry thinks he is underrated.

I think Lindsay thinks really overrated. We talked about Barack Obama.

We did not really get enough time on LBJ, but we touched upon it.

It was really very interesting. And we didn't get to talk about Truman. I'm in a big
