This episode, I'll be speaking once again with Jamila Dawson,

about what it's like to work as a sex therapist and to generally

demystify the practice of sex therapy. But far more potentially traumatic, I have

also decided to share some stories from my own wild sexual history in the introduction.

Why?

Because, much like grief, addiction, and mental illness, I believe that sex and the wide variety of ways

in which it can express itself desperately needs some destigmatization around it.

Shame, guilt, fear, and confusion

were all a big part of my early sex life,

and I wish I had felt more comfortable discussing

what I was going through at the time. And that's not to say that Polly or unconventional relationships can never work.

They just aren't me.

This is the saga of how I came to that realization at great personal cost and by showing lots of

strangers my Wiener. I'd like to point out that no situation I describe or

took part in involved anything but full consent from all involved

and safe sex practices were always taken. So this is not a crime scene, just some

good old-fashioned mental scarring the kind I think we all get in our 20s

from thinking we know more about ourselves than we actually do

so yeah do. So, yeah, mom, I know you listen to these. Cousin Samantha, I know you especially like
