Welcome back, everybody, to The Incomparable.

We are convening another edition of our comic book club.

I decided that we had such a great time talking about comics with Merlin Man, in fact, not too long ago, that we would come back and do it again.

There are a couple comics out there right now that I feel like everybody's talking about

as comics you must read if you want to read like what's going on today, the hottest comics today.

And one of them is Saga, which we talked about in episode 154 with Merlin and Dan Moran and Tony Sindalar.

And we're back to talk about the other one that keeps coming up.

First, I heard about it was actually on a previous comic book club when Jason Brightman mentioned it.

And, well, he was right. It's great.

And we're going to talk about it tonight. It's Hawkeye, written by Matt Fraction. And I know you're

saying it's the guy with the bow and arrow from the Avengers. And I know it seems ridiculous

that a comic about Hawkeye would be so beloved and rightfully so, but it's true. That is the

amazing thing about this comic by Matt Fraction and primarily drawn by, I'm going to get the

name right, David, aha, he's Spanish, you see. And there are fill-in artists because he can't, apparently he can't draw fast enough to fill

the holes of every single issue, but he's the primary artist. So a fantastic comic, we're going

to talk about it tonight. We're going to cover the first two trades, which is essentially issues

one through 11 of Hawkeye. If we do mention something in issue 12, we'll do it at the end and blow the spoiler horn.
