heard a slight jab at myself but that's okay I can take it this week we're to talk about my depression that I'm dealing with as a result.

No, but all seriousness, we are talking this week about depression, which is not always a sin,

but sometimes it is a sin and so Aaron depression is one of those it's a really

sensitive subject it's complex it's highly emotional and sometimes it's difficult to

discuss because of all the variables.

So could you talk about that with maybe some of the causes of depression?

Yeah, when I was putting this together, I thought, okay, I want to be nuanced enough so that if people aren't listening carefully, they don't take unnecessary offense if they're struggling with depression.

And I want to make sure that people hear me properly but I also don't want to be wishy-washy and overly nuanced to the point that there's nothing for people to take home to use.

And I want to say at the beginning too that my intention is not to aggravate or anger those

that have strong views on this subject and I happen to know there are many that have strong views on this

subject but I want this to be a kindness to our listeners. The fact of the matter is

is that I think the modern church has largely stepped back from helping people who are

depressed and largely because we have taken depression and pretty much said well it's it's all a clinical issue and it's

not there are there's a clinical medical side to it at times but it also could be
