We have Chelsea Esick.

Chelsea is a Nigerian American Medical Speech Language Pathologist merging her two worlds of art and science to improve patients quality of life.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Texas where she double majored and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and Bachelor of Arts in Speech Language Pathology.

She then graduated Magna Cum Laude from the illustrious Howard University with her

Masters of Science and Communication Sciences and Disorders.

She has been working in an acute and subacute rehabilitation hospital and specializes in

Tragiostomy and ventilation, dysphagia management, and music and art therapy. She left a quote for us. I wish to see

minorities in the field use their gifts in addition to their clinical skills to

improve clients quality of life. You can do both and oftentimes it shows humility passion and a much more relatable therapist.

Oh I love that Chelsea and we are also joined by Chelsea's roommate Jordan Carol

Jordan is a school-based speech language pathologist in Washington DC

that emphasizes the importance of being the person you needed to be when you were younger.

She creates products and materials with the intention of serving as representation both in and outside the

field of speech language pathology.

And I love this conversation with both Jordan and Chelsea.

They're wonderful to talk to.
