It wasn't exactly an unusual sight.

A white car seemingly abandoned, sat along an isolated stretch of rural highway in Alabama.

For hours, commuters passed by the scene without even noticing.

At first glance, there wasn't anything about the car that should have drawn attention.

Then, one driver saw something that grabbed his.

It wasn't the look of the car, it was in good shape and it appeared to have been well cared for.

There was no sign of an accident, no torn up earth, smoke or fire.

But there was movement inside, a shadow shifting behind the glass.

There, in the back seat, sat a two-year-old child still buckled in with no sign of the driver in sight.
