Holy shit, it's Friday and you are still alive. That's right. You have not been vaporized and you are still here and that means you got to show up for stand up. That's the show I do here each and every day. If I'm here, you have to be here. I'm barely here today. I'm not going to lie to it. It is Friday. I don't know how we made it through the week with all of the blockbuster stories and scandals and a major new warfront. It's been a lot. So if you're overwhelmed by the news this week, well, you can't possibly be alone. I cover it for a living, and I don't know how to even talk about today's headlines

because there's so many huge stories from the last 24 hours.

Normally, I try to emphasize the bigger, more impactful ones first,

but this whole week has been flooded because you also had the midterm election primaries.

And obviously, again, everything coming out of the Middle East is just so horrific and tragic and

stupid. And then, of course, yesterday, Kristy Nome gets fired and replaced by old Mark Wayne,

who can't even patrol the border between his two first names.

Joining me to discuss everything today, I've got our friend, Professor Eric Siegel,

from Georgia State University, who's got some really great good career news that will benefit us all.

And I've got J.L. Covan, who recently ran for Congress,

the hilarious comedian and commentator, lots to talk with him. Also, obviously, a very talented
