Back when I was in college, I used to work evening shifts

in an independent coffee shop that happened to be right next door

to this little bagel place.

I think there must have been some degree of collusion between the two owners,

as the bagel place was geared to be like a health nut place,

whereas all the baked goods the coffee shop produced had like

diabetes-inducing levels of sugar in them.
