We saw Rick Hahn come out of the clubhouse unexpectedly. He was not expected to be

giving any kind of press conference or anything like that. He said the words, unfortunately,

to start the press conference, then came the words or the name Michael Kulpec. And then obviously

the news that he has a significant tear in his UCL. He's going to need Tommy John. They'll do a second opinion, but pretty much revealed the first one that he's going to need this. He's going to miss the 2019 season. Your thoughts, Vinnie Doober. Yeah, I mean, I think shocked, stunned is how the White Sox described themselves, and that's certainly what it is the effect that the news is having on everybody, I think. I mean, we haven't really even gotten time to get Michael Kopeck up to the big leagues here

with the shortened starts that he's had.

And it's really crazy to think that a guy who energized this fan base just a couple of weeks ago

is now not going to make his fifth major league start until the 2020 season.

Yeah, it hasn't sunk in.

I mean, we're absorbing the news right now, and it's just, you know, you assumed,

oh, he'll be locked in for next year.

But we're going to hear from our Copac.

We're going to hear from Rick Hahn here on the podcast.

But, you know, he just had general soreness, and he was kind of pitching through it.

There's a difference between pain and soreness, and clearly it was yesterday when he was like,

you know, I feel something, some discomfort.

It went from soreness to discomfort, and that's when they decided to get it checked out,

and the last thing he was expecting was UCL tear and that's what he's dealing with

right now. I guess if you want some perspective and put some positive spin on this, it's not
