0:52.0 | What would the world look like if we all pushed ourselves to have candid conversations with people who didn't look like us, think like us, or live like us? I'm Dave Hollis and I'm on a mission to learn more about this world by meeting more of the people who live here. |
1:09.0 | You may not always agree with everything you hear, but I guarantee you'll come away more informed on topics you might never have thought to seek out before. |
1:17.0 | This isn't just a podcast. It's a community. And when we raise each other up, we all rise together. |
1:25.0 | So we have a new guest to everyone. So he's like, he's not the one with another room because he's like super wanting attention right now. This is my dog, Loki. So say I look. |
1:45.0 | What kind of dog is this? |
1:47.0 | He's not that many because he's pretty strong and yeah, he keeps growing. Okay, wait a second. This is very important. Not the reason why we're having this conversation, but in real time, Heidi and I are dog shopping. |
2:00.0 | And she, we actually went and met with a human who had the mother of a litter that was now getting ready to have a second litter and Golden Doodle is the thing that we were looking at. How how are Golden Doodles as dogs? |
2:14.0 | I mean, the reason why they're the thing is because they do not shed. And I'm hungry. |
2:20.0 | Yeah, so I'm allergic to dogs. My last dog like would make me break out with rashes and itch a lot. And so with him, I don't. And that's amazing if you have dog allergies. |
2:31.0 | Why I don't know is everything is because they're super like just full of energy. So it had I know that I maybe would have reconsidered because this dog does just not run out of he always wants to play like he's on top of it. |
2:50.0 | Gray quarantine dog is, you know, when I got him and was definitely a huge distraction, good for my mental health is still very good for my mental health just because he keeps me on a schedule. |
3:01.0 | He keeps me active like he forces me to go outside on our walks, which is incredible. So he is really good for my mental health, but just be prepared for the high energy. |
3:10.0 | I apologize, they're funny. That's the thing I've heard is like it just never ever runs out of energy. God bless it. I have a mini schnauzer. His name is Jeffrey. And Jeffrey kind of just likes to lounge like he is like. |
3:22.0 | That's the kind of dog I want. |
3:25.0 | I got the opposite of that. And it's hard because when I am currently training for the Olympics, I come home so tired. And the dog has no clue what my job is. And it's like you've been gone. Now it's time to play. And I'm like, I can't even walk right now. |
3:42.0 | I'm not going to be able to do that. I'm not going to be able to do that. But yeah, it's they're they're great dogs. They're very cuddly too. That's another benefit of them. They like to cuddle. They're very affectionate. And so if you you need that companionship, they're really great for that. |
3:55.0 | I love that you just casually threw out that you got home from training from the Olympics because that's a line that I've never one time got to use in my entire life. |
4:03.0 | I did try I did try to give a little bit of an introduction to you. But would you in your own words, interview. How do you introduce yourself to people when you meet them. You say, Hey, I just got done training for the Olympics. My name is Lolo nice. |
4:15.0 | No, I don't say I'll say I just got back from practice, which sounds really weird because I'm 38 years old. So it's like most people are like practice. Oh, like what are you like high school or something is like, no, I'm 38 and I'm, yeah, just leading practice. |
