I'm sure that just a couple of minor words.

Yeah, yeah. I mean, I'm sure our Theologically-Minded listeners that we had last episode are probably a little perturbed

that I just kind of like I mentioned. I'd be coming back to it, but I just kind of like skip the whole predestination thing.

So if we have any Calvinist listeners out there, they're probably freaking out right now. Like, hey, let's deal with this.

And all of our Bible students and seminary students are saying, hey, wait a minute. Don't you dare skip that. Well, we're not going to skip it.

Let's have a word about predestination.

For anyone who's familiar with the basic theological conversations swirling in this Western world of ours,

you've probably come across or wrestled with the idea of predestination and determinism, determinant and inism.

It's a hard word to say.

Funding the list.

Does God predestine and select a group of people?

The elect, quote unquote, for salvation?

How far does God's sovereignty stretch? Do we still have free will?

I can remember a younger version of myself, Brent Billings, causing endless problems in Bible college as a five-point hyper Calvinist for my freshman and sophomore year.

Boy, was I a pain in their neck.

I have since come to learn that we often argue in this Western world of ours. We often argue about questions that the Bible isn't asking.

And I have a good friend that says, when you ask questions that Bible isn't asking, you always get Brent answers that you don't need.

Yeah, the wrong answers.
