Welcome to the perfume room. My send of the day today is the newest launch from Suling Yore,

and that scent is called Sala. Now, I need to give a little bit of a backstory with this one.

So last week I had the privilege of attending the Sala launch at Stel and this was I think the most

special fragrance event I've ever been to. If you aren't familiar, Suleangior is Troy Savon

and his brother steals fragrance and lifestyle brand, and

Sala is their fourth fragrance. It's still like a relatively new brand. And in this time,

when it seems like every single celebrity is all of a sudden an overnight beauty expert

with some loosely associated brand, you will see that su Langyore is a pleasant exception.

Their fragrances are interesting and thoughtful and niche, and Sala continues this legacy.

Even the choice of perfumer is so intentional.

Spoiler alert, it's not some big name from some big oil house.

Instead, it's Brooklyn's own Joey Rosen, a self-taught independent perfumer.

And I think that because of the sweat tour going on, it just so happened, stars aligned,

that Troy's entire family was in New York on this night.

And given that the very next night, he performed to a sold-out audience at Madison Square

Garden, this event in comparison was and felt so intimate and so special.

So going back to Joey for a second, he is also the perfumer behind Sable from Smolulator's

new fragrance, Die Hot with a Vengeance,

which I also finally had a chance to smell and I freaking love.

I'm really jumping back and forth here, but before you go back to Sala, I don't have

Die Hot with a Vengeance in front of me right now as I'm speaking about it.
