Welcome back to what have you. I'm Rachel Jankovic. I'm back in Miracle. We are slapping out

a late episode so that we can still call it this week. We're going to pretend like we got

it done a bit earlier and then it was. What if we were doing this on Tuesday instead of

on Friday, but we're doing it. I've been out of town. I was out of town. We're going

to call that the blame yourself. Yeah, blame yourself. So we just warmed ourselves up

for a podcast by listening to the Matthew West song modest as hottest. Well, if you haven't

caught the um, conflagration over that one, I saw it. Somebody posted it on Facebook.

I had heard of Matthew West vaguely. I knew the name. I was in no way. I had not like. Yeah,

I was because my girls had friends who liked Matthew West. So like I knew of Matthew West,

but I was in no way like following his career, you know, with every twist and turn. But somebody

posted his little modest as hottest video. And I thought it was quite funny. I was like,

let's just say let's make our position plain. It was fun for doing a funny thing. It was

funny. And you can't argue with that. And then I just asked Rachel if she'd seen the outrage

and made him from a lot of Christians triggered someone else's message saying, I'd like to hear

it. Yeah. Yeah. So anyway, then we went to show Rachel the video nowhere to be found. But it

has made its way to the today show. Newsweek everybody is so angry that he went so far as to

write a funny song. Yeah, but this and I think that it's actually the funnyness that makes people so

mad because he what he's doing really brilliantly in that is assuming a lot of things. Yeah. And he's

assuming things that actually are publicly available data for everyone that we're all in denial

about like the thing that the whole world right now. And okay, this ties in with something that I

don't have a dog in the purity culture fight because we were actually never part of the purity

culture as far as an actual movement where people were getting promised rings and having like
