I must confess I'm a bit sad. James has done a wonderful job of painting for us a portrait of the messiness of the life of faith

in a fallen world.

Struggles of trial. Struggles of trial, struggles of temptation, struggles of anger and conflict, struggles of partiality,

the struggle of faith and works, struggles of wisdom, struggles of conflict. And yet I am deeply persuaded

that with all the helpfulness of that and all the reality that all of us can relate to

all of those struggles because they're present in all of our lives.
