All right guys today. We've got a very special guest on the podcast. It is Stephen Pressfield.

So if you're not familiar with Stephen Pressfield, he is the author of a lot of historical fiction, non-fiction, and

screenplays, some of which he would be very, very familiar with.

The first book he ever wrote was The Legend of Baggar Vance.

So for a lot of you guys you know that because you know the movie

that it was later turned into directed by Robert Redford and also starred Will Smith,

Charlize Therin and Matt Damon, but his second book, his second book might be the

real reason why most of you guys know who he is,

because the second book was Gates of Fire, which is about the Spartans at the Battle of Thermopylae,

and this book is on our list of the 100 books every modern Christian man should read list and so we

absolutely love this book you know when you're making a list of a hundred books you got

to think about all the different criteria that go into that because you want to have a nice

cross section of different types of books and guys there's a lot of historical fiction out there there's a lot of

military fiction out there but that is at the tipy top of that list of books.

So it is, and it's just an absolute treat that we were able to get him on the show.

But some other notable books that he has is the War of Art, which if you listen to the

Joe Rogan experience, he talks about the War of Art fairly often. He actually

appeared on the Joe Rogin experience a while back I think it was two studios ago

and they've talked about that book quite a bit because Joe Rogin has actually

purchased that book and given it to a lot of people, but he's also written
