Thank you to Laurie for bringing Ava Lena's story to my attention.

Ava's story was one that I hadn't heard of before, which really surprised me.

It is the same story we hear often, a child taken from a dysfunctional

household, and placed into a foster family that is not suitable, and this results in the child's death.

The system created to protect these vulnerable children more concerned about ticking boxes and

closing files, then truly placing them in environments that will

help the children grow and thrive. The more I dig, the more I am surprised that other

podcasters or YouTubers haven't covered Ava's stories yet. Maybe because there is no resolution.

Things kind of come to a dead end with no justice being served, not just for Ava, but another

child involved in the same tragedy that survives with lifelong medical conditions.
