And this is hugely important because in our economic times, if you listen to some of the people out there, the experts, they say,

sometimes the experts are wrong, but the experts say that huge layoffs are around the corner.

And if you don't want to get laid off, what you're going to have to do and what you should have already been doing is making yourself valuable to your company, making yourself indispensable to your company,

solving problems for your company.

Because like he says, you will be kept for the problems you solve. You're going to be let go for the problems you create. So are you solving problems or are you being the problem in your place of business at your job.

First of all, think beyond your job. Sit up with me. Think beyond your job. Say it loud. Think beyond your job. Tell your neighbor right in the face. Think beyond your job.

Listen, most people are depressed when they get fired because they did not think beyond their jobs.

There's life after your job. There's life after retirement. Believe me, nothing is more dangerous today than retiring.

Because when your great-grandfather used to retire, you retired at 65 and you're dead at 70.

Today, because of the increase in medical science, you can live to be 80 to 85 average. If you retire at 60, how many years you get left? 25 years more and you are retired.

What are you going to do for another quarter of your life?

Therefore, you cannot put your hope in a job. Let me take something right away. The company you work for, the minute you hit 65, they already start singing to him.
