Welcome to Grumpy old geeks, 150 from March 4th, 2016. I am Jason DeFilippo.

And I'm Brian Schultmeister. I can't believe we've done this 150 times.

No, it's amazing. We actually stuck with something for long enough to get 150 of them done.

Wow, pretty impressive.

Pretty impressive. And I think it's time to break some big news too.

Okay, we are speaking of the goals that we manage. We're about to launch something that we may not

manage. Well, we're going to manage it. We've got a new show coming up. We're calling it up to

speed, which is a Monday through Thursday, 15 minute maximum tech talk show or pop culture news.

Yesterday's news today. I like to think of it as the things you need to know. Yes. Yes. It'll

be pretty much the same format, but this one will be clean so you can listen to it in the car with

your kids and not have to cover their ears. Exactly. Good times. Good times. So we have talked a lot

about social media on this show. Yep. And Douglas Rushkopf has a new book out called Throwing Rocks

at the Google Bus. And by finding that, I found an article in the Guardian. And this was back in

early February, but the book just came out yesterday where he says, I'm thinking it may be good to

be off social media altogether. It was in the title, but it was only a small bit of the article.

Yeah, he goes on a great length about a lot of other things. I know you are hit or miss with him.

I'm actually pretty much a big fan and generally tend to agree with his viewpoint.

It's in fact, he could very well just be on this podcast with us. Oh, absolutely. Yeah.

Especially he's on my side regarding Uber. So add a lot of other things. There was one really
