We're good. Okay, here we are. Episode 150. We finally are getting the one. We finally made it to 150. Yes, there was such a build up and then it got postponed. Nothing.

Billy ruined it. Stop. Whatever. He did. Whatever. Welcome to Health Function at the

Sode 150 with Potapheria and Crystal and we're here. We're here. Exhausted. For those of you that don't

know, don't have social media. Bill, Billy, Tiptoe, Elvis, passed away last Tuesday. The official cause of death on the

death certificate is in stage, COPD and some type of cardio shit, basically is hard stopped. What was the cause for our hiatus the last few

weeks. There's been a lot of sun. Crystal is very occupied with the rest of the family too. Just kind of leading up to that. Yeah, I

literally sat in the hospital for the last three weeks. Yeah, probably a little over three weeks. At one point, when he was released to. So I'm

just going to say this and I don't give a fuck. Tampico Terrace and Walnut Creek, California is a bunch of lazy, unqualified

motherfuckers and competent. The amount of advocating I had to do for my dad's mental health while they're just

unbelievable. There is a huge lack of compassion in the medical field and it's just inexperience and like

fucking attitude, like I can't believe the way that they acted about his medications and I know the last episode we talked a bit about that and just what you had to do to, you

know, get him. So, you know, he was also on a thickened diet because he was having issues swallowing. And on his board next to his bed, it said patient must be sat

with while eating. He can't eat unattended. Well, they got lazy and they stopped watching him. And I know that for a fact because I saw the CNA, let him eat a donut and say, oh, fuck it, it's okay. Yeah, see, no, I

actually, uncle, that died from eating steak unattended in a city like that a few years ago, my mom's brother. And yeah, like when that's a concern, it has to be taken

seriously. So that's really fucked up. Yep. So the reason he wound up back in the hospital is because he aspirated while eating or drinking and it caused pneumonia. If dad would not have got that pneumonia, he probably would have lived until at least the middle of December, if not maybe Christmas. He didn't have long, but he probably had a little longer according to the doctors.

Yeah, developing pneumonia definitely fucking played a part. And then when he got in there and palliative care came to talk to us, my dad had said, I'm done. No more medical intervention. He wanted the antibiotic stopped.

He was just like, I'm done. I'm tired. I'm down. And so Will, Rich and I sat in the hospital with him 24, 7, for probably a week straight stayed and they let us stay the night.

Our kids couldn't say goodbye to my dad with dad to do it FaceTime. That part really sucks. But at least we got to be there.

But I'm so I'm so glad that because COVID is still a concern with hospitals and doctors and all that, like even, you know, general appointments that I'm going to now, like you have to go alone, you can't bring anybody with you, no kids, nothing. So I'm actually really happy that they let

excuse me, your brothers be there, you know, also and not have to take turns, you know, yeah, that was really nice.

We had to be vaccinated in order to do that. So I know everyone don't feel the same, but do thank God we were because we got to fucking sit in there 24, 7 with him.

The last day, he was awake. It was like three days before he died up until he like went to sleep, you know, permanently and never woke up again.
