Isaiah chapter 40 verses 28 through 31

and instead of reading the verse today, I'm going to read just a few verses, and then

instead of giving commentary on those verses, oh, these verses just speak for themselves.

So I just want to encourage you before I even read

versus 28 to 31 of Isaiah 40,

especially if you feel weak in any way in your life. Just let these words soak into your heart and

I'm going to let this text just lead us right into praying according to it.

So Isaiah chapter 40 verse 28. Have you not known? Have you

not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He does not grow faint or grow weary.

His understanding is unsearchable.

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might, he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted.

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength.

They shall mount up with wings like echre. Lord shall renew their strength.

They shall mount up with wings like eagles.

They shall run and not be weary.

They shall walk and not faint. Oh God, we praise you as the everlasting God, the one who creates us and the one who sustains us. We praise you for not just your unsearchable wisdom but for

your unending power. You never get tired. Oh God we are humbled every night when we lay down to sleep that the most powerful

person in the world, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine hours a day, cutles up like a little baby, totally

helpless, unable to do anything because we need rest.

You, oh God, need no rest like that.
