All this week, we've been hearing the opening statements

from the different groups involved in the inquiry.

It's a chance for them to set out their stall

and it gives us a sense of some of the arguments we're going to hear in the coming months.

Today, we heard from the lawyer representing Baha'ilu Kibedi in whose flat the fire started.

We heard from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and from the tenant management organisation which managed Grenfell Tower.

has been at the inquiry for us. What were your impressions of the day? Well, again, Adi, the

inquiry room was full to bursting. Relatives, bereaved tenants, still there in large numbers,

emotional and passionate. They were of course keen to hear,

not just what their barristers would say about what they want from the inquiry, but also

for the first time, I mean, to hear the position of the public bodies and what they describe

as corporates, the companies who they cast yesterday as the villains of the piece.

We talked yesterday about how the bereaved survivors and residents are being represented at the

inquiry in groups, with one QC talking for many people. There is an exception to that.

Baha'i Luka Bedi, who was the lead talent of Flat 16 where the fire started, he is being

represented by Rajiv Mennon QC.

Baha'ilu Kibbe had been living in Flat 16 on the fourth floor of Grenfell Tower for some 25 years,
