We'll start with news of a possible VWID1 arriving in 2027. Just over $20,000 is the price target.

Volkswagen plans to begin production of its most economical EV, the ID-1.

Maybe that's about 20,000 euros or UK pounds, about $22,000 US.

Aiming for 2027, well, VW brand leader Thomas Schaefer highlighted the ID1 as a milestone in making electric mobility accessible to all parts of VW's annual press conference, media conference.

Design and development of the ID-1 is already underway, they say,

with the appearance of the car conceptualised.

The big challenge, of course, is the economic feasibility of making

small cars at low price points and to do it profitably, because the ID cars are profitable

...
