I've got a special brief for you this morning that is shaping America and the world.

Joe Biden is set to address the nation later tonight saying goodbye and farewell.

We have an early snapshot into what he intends to say, telling reporters earlier this week that he is giving Donald Trump a very strong nation, both at home and abroad.

But is that true?

We're going to answer that question this morning, trying to get a sense of the actual state of our union and the world.

So let's do that.

Let's cover the real state of things this morning as we say goodbye to

Joe Biden. And we start with this. You all are really ready to see him go. A poll out from USA Today shows

that most Americans view him as a failure or just kind of average. That makes up 71% of us.

Meanwhile, a poll from the Gallup organization shows that a strong majority of you think that

America has lost ground on virtually every category of importance under his leadership.

You all think or say that we are falling behind on debt, the economy, immigration, the middle

class, and crime. Only on the

transgender issue does Mr. Biden perform well and largely amongst Democrats. And that is why

last week, Gallup reported that most Americans think that Joe Biden will go down in history

as a bad president more so than Richard Nixon. In other words, despite what the White House might try to say

tonight, America is not in a happy mood about Mr. Biden or his four years in office. To help us

understand why that might be, and then the challenge, of course, that Donald Trump is up against,

let's start by looking domestically. At what frankly, all the polls continue to say is your number one issue of concern,

and that's the economy. And let's look at what happened over Christmas to understand why so
