Well, come on to our third 15 and 60 of the year back on the Western Conference this week,

and we're going to start with the 11 and 5 Utah Jazz. They sit at a hearty 7 and 2 since we last

checked in on them. Their 4.4 net rating is 11th in the NBA, a disappointing 22nd in offense,

but a very strong second in defense that thought was that maybe they would fall off this year with

not quite as much defensive personnel. In fact, they have maintained that number 2 ranking despite

losing Ed Davis, and obviously Derek Favreuse and Jay Crowder from last year. Rudy Go Bear has

been awesome defensively, and as part of that, they are projected to win 51 games by our friends

at 538 and they have a 94% chance of making the playoffs. Latest health news for Go Bear is not

great. He's questionable with the ankle sprint. They were able to win without him. Last night at

home against New Orleans, Tony Bradley got to start. He had actually been out of the rotation

with Jeff Green getting the backup center of minutes after they really had struggled with

Bradley in that role once Davis had gone out, but he held up well enough yesterday. What is stood

out to them about you, Danny, overall before I talk about their game last week against Minnesota

that I took some notes on? Well, I think the big takeaway, and this is part of the strength

that I'm guessing the 538 models are seeing in some other things, is that their core group,

even with the Connelly struggles, which have been well documented to this point in the early

going of the season, their core group has done really well. So Connelly Mitchell, Boyan Boctonovitch,

Rudy Go Bear and any fifth player, mainly Roy Soniel, but there have been other guys in that mix.

They have a plus 17.5 net rating with field by a 100 even defensive rating, which is

absolutely fantastic. And then 175 offences is quite good as well. And that is really the idea.

If those guys, when you put up a thing around it, if they can defend really well and score at that

level, then it's more, at least in the regular season, then it is more about figuring out the
