I welcome on to an Eastern conference 15 and 60 got a ton of research to get to y'all we're gonna go in largely

0:08.2

alphabetical order but watch a couple of games that when I get to so we'll have those

0:13.0

slightly out of order. Let's get to work here in the Atlanta Hawk. Yeah, let's do it

0:16.1

The hawks are still one game under 500. They were there eight and nine now four and four since last 1560

0:22.3

Barely below water negative 0.4 net rating is 17th in the league and they're a strong sixth and offense

0:28.8

But a disappointing 27th defense which we'll talk about in this section the 538 Raptor model predicts

0:34.9

72% chance that the hawks make the playoffs and 46 wins would put them seventh in the east and

0:39.9

Elo the other model gives the hawks a 67% chance of making it. Yeah, it looks like the hawks are kind of settling in now

0:46.5

Or they had fallen to 4 and 8 after an extremely difficult east coast swing in which they played

0:52.6

Suns warriors and jazz. I think that was three games and four nights and but since they came home

0:59.6

They are four and one and the offense is right where you would want it to be

1:04.1

But their defense has really struggled and so pretty interesting stuff here with them

1:10.6

Defensively about why it's gone wrong. What stands out to you if anything?

1:15.7

Well, so going back to last year

1:18.4

You know one of the things that we noticed because there was a lot of crazy stuff in terms of the the on off with

1:25.2

Capella and a part of that was you know opponent opponent three point shooting was was was un was surprising

1:32.0

We surprisingly low and so you kind of wonder well, where is the equilibrium here?

1:36.2

And there are a couple different ways to evaluate big men impact one of them is shot proportions like where teams shot locations

1:44.2

And then the other one is shot success and Capella is doing one of those things more than the other yeah

1:49.6

The defense is 11.6 points for a hundred possession to worse with Clint Capella on the floor worth noting he plays basically

1:57.0

All of his minutes with tree young who has slightly even worse on off differentials it in terms of the defense

2:02.7

Last year opponent shot a lot worse at the rim with Capella on the floor
