I can certainly agree with the last one after the many hitches and delays we've had tonight.

Hey, it's great to be back.

It's lovely back so soon as well.

We had a big delay the last time, didn't we?

Yes, we did.

We had ages the last time, so it is? Yes, we did. We had ages the last

time. So it is lovely to be able to record with you this side of Christmas. It really is. And it's just this side of Christmas as well. It is Christmas Eve Eve as we record this. It is Christmas Eve Eve. And I can tell you now the recording has been as chaotic as it possibly could be. And I am going to warn you as the listener now that there is

noise in my household. My housemaid and his friends are downstairs making mac and cheese,

which may add to the soundscape for this, for this particular episode. The boiler has also just

come on. And my laptop, which is on my lap because I'm in bed recording this, because I can't record downstairs, will inevitably overheat and therefore make a loud, whirring noise.

So I'd like to make everybody aware of these things before we start recording.

And likewise, we are recording remotely because I've not made it up to Canterbury this year.

I've got the boiler that's probably about to kick in.

I've got a very hungry cat who's about to kick my door down as well. So any noises like that tonight, they're not going to be paranormal, are they? No, they are absolutely not going to be paranormal, unless you hear some sort of demonic voice, which may or may not be paranormal. Well, I'm here because very occasionally. In fact, more frequently this year, it has to be said, you invite me on your wonderful podcast to tell some stories with a bit of a historical theme, because that is my day job. I'm a history teacher down in Devon. And I think we've done about six or seven episodes this month,

haven't we? Yeah. We have done this year. Yeah. We've done a good few episodes this year.

We have done very, very well. So I'm back again with more tales of folklore and goats and all

sorts of mad things from my local area. Which is very exciting. And your local area is where?
