We'll start with the big headline today, and that is Mercedes-Benz, developing its entry-level G-class. They've called it

the little G, and it'll launch in 2027. The electric vehicle will complement the larger G-class,

which is German for off-road vehicle, while Mercedes CEO, Olla Colenius, confirming the little G a couple of years ago at the Munich Motor Show,

expanding the G subbrand, which includes the MyBak, the EQ and the AMG variants.

The new four-wheel drive will use the MBEA platform, also for the upcoming electric versions of the GLC and the C class as well.

800 volt architecture, fifth generation battery technology from Mercedes-Benz,

a range of maybe 430 miles or 700 kilometers or so.

The little G will keep the iconic DNA of the G class,

but we'll start at only amiga 70,000 pounds, a more

affordable version of the vehicle, which can cost up to 180 grand. Despite its upright design

and high ground clearance, Mercedes will achieve a low drag coefficient, they say, also using their new EATS 2.0 electric motors,

a two-speed gearbox for efficiency and a rear motor which produces 355 horsepower alone.

The entry level 4 by 4 will have a modified version of the GLC's double wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension with air springs, adjustable right, and part of this is definitely expanding into China, you would think, as well, Mercedes-Benz's largest market.

Okay, let's move on and talk about Mercedes-Benz updating its existing EV.
